Tom Phillips comes to St. Monica after serving for three years as Vice Chancellor and Assistant to the Bishop for Administrative Matters in the Diocese of Metuchen, New Jersey. However, he is no stranger to the Philadelphia area, having grown up and lived most of his life in upper Montgomery County and, prior to his work in Metuchen, served as Director of Campus Ministry at Archbishop John Carroll High School for seven years. In that time, he came to know many families from St. Monica and experienced the commitment and passion they have for this parish community. In his role as Director of Parish Mission Support, Tom will assist Father Zlock in overseeing the various administrative responsibilities which are part of the everyday functioning of the parish. This will include advising Father in the governance of St. Monica, interfacing with people and groups in and outside of the parish, and ensuring that those who serve in the various ministries and mission of the parish are supported appropriately.
