Liz was born in Devon and attended Strafford Elementary School, Tredyffrin-Easttown Junior and Senior High Schools, and Immaculata College (now University). She graduated from West Chester State Teachers College (now West Chester University) in 1954 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught third grade at Strafford Elementary School and then for a short time at Saint Norbert School, Paoli.
Liz joined Saint Monica in 1964 and served as Parish Secretary from 1974 to 1982. During those years, she was the only person on staff! Since that time, she has served as a volunteer for many and varied activities in the parish and the former school. Liz is the mother of four children who all graduated from Saint Monica School.
Liz now records parishioner contributions on Mondays and coordinates the purchasing of lots, burials, care of the parish cemetery grounds, and maintainenance of its records. She is happy to respond to calls from parishioners who have inquiries in this area of parish life.
