To act as a catalyst for Jesus' call to serve by providing new and ongoing outreach and service opportunities.
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you clothed me,
I was ill and you cared for me,
I was in prison and you visited me.
Matthew 25:35-36
We offer a heartfelt thank you to the many parishioners who made donations to the Giving Tree. Through your boundless generosity, we delivered nearly 200 gifts and over $3000 in gift cards to St. Agnes Day Room, St. Joseph Welcome Center, Great Valley Food Cupboard, Blessed Sarnelli House and Community Center of Visitation. A special thank you to Jim Webb who donated dozens of handmade hats, scarves, and handmade toys. Your beautiful work put a smile on many faces Christmas morning. We also offer a special thank you to the Merry Widows who put together beautiful gift bags with items to make the season a little brighter for the homeless in Kensington. A big thank you to everyone who assisted with the giving tree, made ornaments, sorted packages and made deliveries. 2022 was a challenging year for many, but once again St. Monica was a beacon of love and hope for so many in our community. We are grateful for your kindness and generosity.
You are being enriched in every way for all generosity, which through us produces thanksgiving to God, for the administration of this public service is not only supplying the needs of the holy ones but is also overflowing in many acts of thanksgiving to God.
2 Corinthians 9:11-12

The Church of St. Monica is a support congregation to host congregation St. David’s Episcopal Church for Family Promise of the Main Line (FPML), a program that helps families experiencing homelessness achieve independence through a community-based response. Families in FPML’s program spend every evening (including overnight) for one week, Sunday to Sunday, at a host congregation site, receiving hospitality including dinner each day. In addition to dinner prep and drop-off, there are opportunities to volunteer as evening hosts, overnight hosts, pre-arrival setup, post-departure breakdown and laundry help. Adults as well as families with school-age children are welcome to volunteer. Congregations host about 4 times per year. The next St. David’s/St. Monica’s host week is March 12 - 19.
