Saint Monica's Bereavement Ministry provides grieving families with an encounter with the Risen Christ through the funeral liturgy, which gives hope of the Resurrection.
Members extend support at liturgical planning meetings with families and offer parish hospitality at viewings and funerals celebrated at Saint Monica. They also coordinate the parish's annual Mass of Remembrance and reception held in November, the month of All Souls.
The ministry is looking for new members who have flexible schedules on weekdays OR Saturday mornings. Please contact coordinator Deb Ridder at 484-557-6108 or [email protected] if you feel called to share in the Spiritual Work of Mercy to comfort the sorrowful.
